Before you begin, READ THE RULES. All of them! They're here so you know how the game works and how to play, and you will get a lot more enjoyment out of it if you understand it inside and out. It is your responsibility to know them--that's why they are posted right up on this topmost forum. Rules, guidelines, pokemon behaviours and other important info are all put in here. The Mods are here to make this game enjoyable for you the player, not to crack our whips and bite people's heads off. If you blatantly break the rules, our resident Aruseus may be summoned to deal with the infractions...he's a nice pokemon, but he deals in destinies, and rule-breaking pokemon are definitely threatening the fabric of the game's universe! Play by our guidelines though and you should have no problem with either the moderators or the pokégods. ^_~

Flowing along the border between the forest and the fields, the Erymire River separates these two habitats. It is a wide, deep river, flowing sluggishly from north to south. Water pokemon live in and near the river in abundance.

Berries of all kinds can be found in this grove, providing nourishment for any pokemon who wanders into this place. Apricorn trees also stand in abundance, heavy with their rich nutty fruits. Something is always in season. But remember, berries can't heal everything.

Tumbling down from the mountain heights, a series of waterfalls pours its white rapids into a generous pool. It is a popular place for the forest pokemon to bathe, drink and fish. Water pokemon also live here in abundance.

| Middle Meadow
Sprawled out in the heart of the forest, the Middle Meadow is resplendant with wildflowers, berry bushes and sunlight. A trickling stream flows through it. Pokemon of the forest often come here to enjoy the sun or prey on herbivore grass pokemon who come to soak up the energy-giving rays.

Baldcypresses grow up through several inches of standing water. Insects buzz thickly in the air. Animals like feraligatrs love this environment. Beware, for still waters run deep!

| Quicksand Sinks
Beware the dangers of this place! Deep in the jungle lie sinkholes full of quicksand! Step in the wrong place and you may sink to your death. On the other hand, if you know your way around this place, it can be a great area to hide from enemies, even set up a deadly ambush. Many berries also grow in this area.

| Thicket (1 sub-board)
Dense undergrowth forms an impassable thicket through which little sunlight penetrates. The only way through is by taking the trails that tunnel through the sticker bushes, bramble, and other closely growing vegetation. Pokemon may come here to hide from predators or give birth in secrecy and safety.

Fields covered with waist-high grass spread out to all horizons and go on for miles. This are favourite grazing lands for sheep and cattle pokemon.

| Lake Lierra
A wide round lake fed by several streams from the north. The clear, cool water is also deep and provides a home for even large water Pokemon. Reeds and lily pads grow around its edge, but swimmers beware: many dangerous pokemon such as Feraligatr lurk beneath the water.

Out in the middle of Erymire, the downs ripple on for as far as the eye can see. There are no bushes or trees, only endless rolls of green. Pokemon of the plains such as grazing herds of rapidash and tauros make their living out here. They also say that the raikou may sometimes be spotted when thunderstorms rumble over the downs.

| Mud Pit
More a huge patch than a pit, heavy deposits of kaolin and other clays combine with a moist climate and runoff from the sparkling stream, to create smooth, soft, pale mud, an ideal place for a mudbath. Come here to have fun and get dirty! {It's also great for the skin.}

| Sparkling Stream
Located near the mud pit, the stream flows at a moderate pace over rocks and boulders worn smooth by the current. The stream is about a yard deep out in its middle. It's ideal for washing off if you get a little {or a lot} muddy.

| Eastern Desert
Due to the mountains blocking much of the rainfall, these fields are drier than the rest of Erymire and in some places are hot desert. This is a favoured environment for pokemon native to the desert.

Scattered amidst short and semi-short grasses grow berry bushes of different kinds and sizes. A good place to graze, hunt the herbivores or for any pokemon to enjoy the berries, but only when they're in season.

| Mountain Forest
Tall pointy spruce trees dominate the forest in the upper altitudes. Here the air is clean, cool and crisp, smelling like pine and juniper. Many mountain pokemon including rock and ground types make their homes in the rather dry environment.

Sloping expanses filled with wildflowers and swaying grass beckon in the sunlight. Pokemon of the mountains can come here to graze or hunt the grazers. Some berries can also be found growing here.

| Mountain stream
Fast-flowing, cold and clean, the stream starts out thin and swells to a wider stream lower down. All along the stream's path are waterfalls. There isn't much room to swim except for some smaller fish, but it's a great place to catch fish or just have a drink of pure clean, cold water.

| The Valley
Grass and bushes grow interspersed with stands of trees in a valley elevated from the lower altitude of the plains in the east. Rivers run down from the mountains into a sparkling lake.
The valley stays warmer in winter than the surrounding mountains and provides a haven for pokemon of the higher slopes seeking shelter from winter snow.

| Volcano
Inside the tallest mountain is an active volcanic area, complete with lava pools where fire pokemon dwell. The caves around the lava pools are especially popular for charizards, magmar and other fire types. But who knows when the great peak will blow its top?

| Cascade Canyon
A deep canyon bordered on both sides by the high-elevation parallel mountain ranges of West Erymire. Deep in the base of the canyon flows a rapid river flowing from northeast to southwest. Shallow caves pock the sheer cliff faces on the sides of the deep canyon, providing many places for bird and especially dragon pokemon to nest.

| High Reach Glaciers
Frigid winds blow drifts of powdery snow about under the clear, rich blue mountain sky. Even in the summer it never gets very warm up here. The glaciers are home to many ice pokemon. Articunos and suicunes are said to dwell here too in this forbidding region.

Bat pokemon enjoy the upper caves with easy access to the world outside. Other pokemon can come inside to get out of the weather or to hole up for a while. Just make sure the cave you enter isn't already occupied!

Habitats of ground and rock pokemon. Onix and steelix created a network of tunnels used by other pokemon as well. The underground world is harsh and ruled by ruthless factions of pokemon, who speak with disdain of the those living in the sunworld. In their eyes, the world above produces only weaklings...These tough pokemon are arch enemies of the dark horde in the eastern range.

Cut off from the world above and even from the caverns higher up, these lowermost caverns are a world of their own. Fungus glows on walls, rivers flow filled with blind fish. Pokemon trapped here ages ago have evolved into strange, pale creatures with large eyes. The realm above these isolated tunnels is spoken of only in myth...

Around the rocks, above the foothills, grows abundant, rich green grass, ideal for mountain-dwelling herbivores. The grazing creatures in turn provide food for the hunters of the slopes. Some berry bushes grow here as well. Abundant wildflowers grow in seas of colour here on the slopes and peaks of the eastern mountains. Cool winds blow over this ideal habitat for pokemon of higher altitudes. This is a favourite home of Mountain Ampharos.

Gently rolling foothills blanketed in green grass sprawl out around the mountains and lead up into the higher slopes. Bushes, some with berries, dot the landscape. Clean cool water tumbles down from the mountainside into a crystal-clear pool, providing an excellent place for pokemon to enjoy the water, have a bath or hunt for fish.

Nestled in the protection of the eastern mountains is a huge, ruined castle, partly buried by land but still standing tall and dark over the land. Ghost pokemon slain by human wars long ago still haunt the place. Dark pokemon and other pokemon with an evil slant love to prowl the dark woods surrounding the Fortress. Dark packs roam the land, so others beware! Worst of all is the Horde. This fearsome mixed group of preds wanders the lands of Erymire searching for the strongest pokemon to be their recruits. Outsiders coming to the Fortress will be captured, and females may be force bred, their children trained in the ways of evil!

| Tallgrass Prairie
Flatlands where the grass grows several feet high, swaying in the rough winds that whip over the fields. Short pokemon cannot see over the tops of the grass, but trails have long existed through the stems and stalks, and the prairie provides excellent places for small pokemon to hide and for herbivores of all sizes to graze on.

The Erymire River empties out into this huge body of water, which is a favourite home of water pokemon. Lying south of the southernmost fields of Erymire, this lake goes on for miles, twisting and turning through a tangle of smaller mountains. Beware for the winters here can be harsher than the mild ones of north and central Erymire. Along the winding shores of the lake rise mountains forested with pine and spruce.

| The Graveyard (1 sub-board)
Away from the other lands lies a place of despair. A cliff of black rock juts sharply upward, stabbing the hazy sky. The ground below is littered with the bones of the dead. Murkrows perch on the rocks and on the branches of dead and dying trees, ready to feast upon those who take their last breath upon the cracked, rocky soil. Ghost pokemon haunt the piles of bones and feed upon the anguish of the dying and the torment of the forgotten dead. Characters might come here to die, either by suicide, sickness or other unknown reasons, unless they die some other way in a thread.
Cubones and marowaks, this is a great place to get skulls to wear and bones to use as weapons!

| ~The Far Reaches: Land of Giant Pokemon~ |
| Valley of the Guardian Trees
This is more of a long pass than a single valley. Several species of trees towering over a thousand feet tall grow here. They are found throughout the Far Reaches but this is one land where they grow in abundance. They live possibly tens of thousands of years, and some say they are sentient. Many bear enourmous fruits that can only be opened by certain giant pokemon or other powerful pokemon, such as some rock or fighting types. Grulik and other giant herbivores often feed here. Careful you don't get stepped on!

| Poddaboo River
This sluggish river is over five miles wide and home to many water pokemon. Giant guardian trees over a thousand feet high grow among normally sized trees along its bountiful banks. This river extends for miles and miles, from regions away in the north down to Hallowmoor, where it empties out into Soleria Bay.

| The Kavaness
This is the name for the mountains of dark grey and black stone that stripe the area just south of the Far Reaches and border the lands just north of Erymire. Many of the Kavaness peaks are capped with glaciers left over from this world's last ice age. Many Guardian Trees grow here and in the centre of the Kavaness lies a huge valley where the grulik, the most collossal of the giants, gather during certain years.

| Hallowmoor
This land where evil often crawls lies east of the Kavaness, where the Poddaboo River forms a cleft in the land and meets the ocean. Many pokemon of all sizes and types make this land home. In particular it is home to many flocks of spotted ampharos. In Hallowmoor, shadow forces are said to be at work.

This vast land boasts plentiful forests of the great Ratharah trees, which grow to over 2000 feet high. These are the tallest Guardian Trees in the world, and their leaves, shoots and huge fruits are the main food of the snub-nosed grulik, who also are common in the land.

A beautiful land filled with rolling fields, beautiful rivers and lakes and ancient forests. On the unique plants grow fruits that can sustain pokemon of legendary kind no matter what their species. Legendaries come here to relax, meet with others of their rare kinds or discuss important world issues. Only legendaries may enter ordinarily, and non-legends cannot find Elyssia unless brought in by a legend. Any non-legendary who enters Elyssia can never breed or leave.

Hot sun beats down upon hard, sandy soil, baking it till it cracks. Heat makes the air over the sand appear to ripple. Wind rustles through the land whipping up sand in your face. Tumbleweeds roll by. The days are unbearably hot, the nights chilling cold. Trapinch, Cacnea, Cubone, Sandshrew, Numel, Torkoal, Hippopotasu, Geodude, Murkrow, Hoothoot, and their evolutions make their living in the harsh climate. Player PCs must be of these species; more may be added soon as long as they fit a desert environment.
